My dissertation is dedicated to the digital television. One of the main topics of my work is the design and research of SECAM test signals quadrature digital generation algorithm. As a subtopic I designed the quadrature digital filter for high frequency SECAM pre-emphasis. That allows reduction of clock frequency up to 4 times and thus usage of low speed signal processors to generate radio frequency signals.

The algorithm was researched for digital noise, frequency responses, group delay time and fidelity of output signal. Besides the analytic research the algorithm was tested by mathematical models and CAD simulation.

Regarding the quadrature PAL & NTSC algorithms also it was shown the possibility to design united digital PAL/SECAM/NTSC algorithm thus making encoder in one IC.

The algorithm and designed software can be applied for different type of systems.

The achievements in television signal compression were taken into account and second dissertation topic is the generation of MPEG-2 or MPEG / JPEG test signal. In the work there is a proposal of objective test method of MPEG-2 systems. The algorithm of quasinoise test signal synthesis is proposed, which is based on DCT sequence of equal probability coefficients. It allows estimating of MPEG-2 system work by objective compression and fidelity data in automatic mode.
